1947 Teardrop Trailer Hitch and Tow Trailer Greenlight 1:24 Series

Limited Edition collectable. No longer in production, this highly detailed vintage 1947 Kenskill Tear Drop trailer is from the Hitch and Tow Series 3 Trailers from the Greenlight 1;24th Series.

The origin of the Kenskill company goes back to 1946 in Burbank, California. Bill Kennedy made about 200 teardrop trailers by hand during the summers of 1946 and 1947. This iconic teardrop trailer design is the footprint for every modern teardrop manufactured today. These teardrop trailers were sold from 1946 until 1948 when the original Kenwick company closed it's doors. Jim Brunskill, the financial partner of the original company went on to form a second company, which he named Kenskill Trailers. Interestingly, 'KenSkill' is a combination of the names of these two men and while Jim Brunskill went on to be inducted into the RV Heritage Museum 'Hall of Fame’, Bill Kennedy became another forgotten footnote in the vintage history books.
