The John Wayne 'Its A Sign Of Weakness' Tin Sign features John Wayne with the quote 'Never Apologize And Never Explain. It's A Sign Of Weakness.' which was said by John Wayne's character, Col. Nathan Brittles, in the movie 'She Wore a Yellow Ribbon'. This distressed tin sign is made to look like vintage signage from yesterday, with scratches, rust and weathering that are part of the graphic. Our John Wayne 'Its A Sign Of Weakness' Tin Sign pays homage to a legendary American icon who epitomized rugged masculinity, especially in his roles in western films. The perfect gift for the western film buff or for fans of the 'Duke'. Hang in your man cave, den, office or any space you want to make your own.

Wayne was born Marion Robert Morrison on May 26, 1907. Known professionally as John Wayne and nicknamed 'Duke', this legendary American actor, filmmaker and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, was among the top box office draws for three decades. John Wayne had his first leading role in the 1930 film The Big Trail. Over John Wayne's decades long career in 'Show Biz' he starred in 142 motion pictures. Eighty-three of his movies were Westerns, and in them he played cowboys, cavalrymen, and unconquerable loners extracted from the Republic's central creation myth. The movie that made him an instant mainstream star was John Ford's 1939 hit titles 'Stagecoach'. Other movies Wayne starred in were 'West of the Divide'. 'Red River', 'The Searchers', and 'The Quiet Man' just to name a few. Tragically, John Wayne developed cancer later in life along with 91 other cast and crew members from the movie 'The Conqueror' which was filmed in southwestern Utah, east of and generally downwind from the site of recent U.S. Government nuclear weapons tests in southeastern Nevada. Many contend that radioactive fallout from these tests contaminated the film location and poisoned the film crew working there. Susan Hayward, Agnes Moorehead, Pedro Armendáriz, and director Dick Powell were among those who developed some form of cancer.

Metal signs were traditionally used by brand companies as a high-quality and durable advertising medium, as they embody longevity and quality, and transfer these values perfectly to the advertised product. These days, metal signs are considered a popular retro-item, with their old-school themes and rusty distressed appearances, offering the ideal opportunity for stylish decoration with a retro and vintage inspired look.
