In this version of the Godzilla, King of the Monsters Movie poster, Godzilla is seen stomping through the city leaving a trail of destruction and burning structures with flames filling the night sky shown in the background. 'Godzilla' is printed in large block letters in yellow below the illustration. Poster size is 24x36 inches.

In 1956 Toho released the film Godzilla King of the Monsters to American audiences. In this Americanized version of the Japanese film ''Gojira'', journalist Steve Martin, played by Raymond Burr, stops off in Tokyo on a personal visit. While there, the local media begins to report on strange happenings at sea with ships being destroyed and entire crews being lost. They travel to a remote Japanese island where they encounter a gigantic prehistoric beast, which American nuclear weapons testing has resurrected. This relic, named Godzilla (Gojira), soon appears in Tokyo Bay. At night, Godzilla wades through Tokyo leaving death and destruction in his wake, disappearing into Tokyo Bay when his rage subsides. Coventional weapons are useless against him; but renowned scientist Dr. Serizawa has discovered a weapon that could destroy all life in the bay, including Godzilla. But which disaster is worse, Godzilla's fury, or the death of Tokyo Bay?
