The The Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch of the West Tin Sign is a vintage movie inspired sign from the 1939 American musical fantasy film, The Wizard of Oz. Featured prominently on this classic movie tin sign is the iconic Wicked Witch of the West with her green-skin, dressed in a long black dress with a black pointed hat. In the background, far in the distance we see the sinister fortress that is the witch's castle set on dark ominous backdrop of thick gray fog and a slate colored sky. The Wicked Witch is depicted holding her broom with the quote "I'll Get You My Pretty" written in vibrant green, a stark contrast to the various shades of gloomy gray that make up the image on this sign. This sign makes a wonerful gift for the classic movie buff and will coordinate nicely with many different decor styles.

The Wizard of Oz movie is widely considered to be one of the greatest films in cinema history, it is the best-known and most commercially successful adaptation of L. Frank Baum's children's book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, originally published by the George M. Hill Company in Chicago on May 17, 1900. With it's use of 'Technicolor', fantasy storytelling, fabulous musical score, and memorable characters, it is hardly surprising that the film has become an icon of American popular culture. The Wizard of Oz follows the main character, Dorothy and her dog Toto. Other memorable characters are the primary protagonist in the film, The Wicked Witch of the West, the malevolent witch who has an acute case of aquaphobia, Glinda, the good witch, the Scarecrow, who wants a brain, the Tin Woodman, who desires a heart, and the Cowardly Lion, who needs courage. The movie centers around Dorothy, a pair of magical ruby slippers she must wear while following a Yellow Brick road with her new friends to the Emerald City in the Land of Oz in order to ask the Wizard of Oz to help them. Along the way there are many obstacles but ultimately the group does reach the Land of Oz where they encounter the 'Wizard' who is not really a Wizard. In the end Dorothy wakes up back home in Kansas where it becomes clear to her that the entire ordeal was merely a dream. At the end we see the characters from her dream, but without their costumes as regular people who Dorothy was very familiar with in the real world. The Wizard of Oz is the source of many quotes referenced in contemporary popular culture, such as, 'There's no place like home','Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore','Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high...' , 'If I only had a brain','If I only had a heart','If I only had the nerve' and more including ' I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!'

Metal signs were traditionally used by brand companies as a high-quality and durable advertising medium, as they embody longevity and quality, and transfer these values perfectly to the advertised product.
